Even MORE power with our half-shaft variant!
Stock 4.0L throttle body necks down to 55mm. These are bored to 62mm all the way through, then we convert the full shaft to a half-shaft, freeing up enough surface area to give the equivalent of 64mm of airflow and 46% gain in air flow over stock. These work especially well for supercharged and/or stroked engines pushing high HP numbers. And if you have a 2.5L engine, this takes you from a stock 48mm to 64mm, 103% increase.
All core throttle bodies are evaluated, disassembled, cleaned and media blasted to remove the excess corrosion, debris, and oxidation. We paint the throttle linkage, then they are machine bored all the way through to a full 62mm and specially bored to reduce/eliminate the low-speed whistle found on most other throttle bodies, then the shaft work is done. You will want to combine this with our tub/manifold boring service (call for details). Includes a new gasket. Sensors are not included (you must move the sensors from your throttle body)
